Nine out of ten organisations have an expectation that managers will spend time coaching their people. In reality whilst the majority of a manager’s working day is spent in dialogue with their people, most managers profess to not feeling confident or skilled in how to put the theory into practice.

This course is designed to give managers the insight, belief and skills to transform their daily dialogue into powerful conversations that drive high performance. Managers will explore the use of enquiry as a means for providing leadership and maximising individual potential, as well focusing on the effective use of advocacy to challenge underperformance and to provide timely feedback.

What do participants have to do?

This two day interactive course includes practical sessions, theory discussions as well as personal reflection and feedback. The workshop will focus on:

  • Leading in 1:1 relationships to enable great performance
  • Creating environments within which individuals can realise their potential
  • The use of enquiry and advocacy as tools to increase leadership effectiveness
  • Skills, confidence and beliefs in challenging individuals to deliver their best
