David is a senior finance professional with over two decades of experience in the telecoms sector. He is a specialist in business planning, forecasting, financial modelling and valuation in support of spectrum valuation and strategy projects.

David Conn’s expertise in the telecommunications sector was gained during 18 years in management consultancy and six years with a US holding company investing in emerging markets telecoms and media ventures.

David specialises in employing robust financial techniques to navigate the increasingly complex strategic options and trade-offs faced by telecommunications operators today. With Coleago, David has developed spectrum valuation assessments utilising DCF modelling and benchmarking approaches for 20 spectrum valuation projects in 13 countries across Europe, Asia, Africa, North America and South America. David has developed commercial forecast for a further 14 markets in support of strategy and due diligence projects.  Key tasks involve assessing market demand for telecoms services, developing traffic forecasts, constructing financial models and preparing enterprise valuations.

As a qualified accountant, David can draw on a thorough understanding of financial information to effectively analyse financial performance and develop robust financial forecasts. With a Masters in Finance degree, David also possesses a comprehensive grasp of the intricate theoretical and practical dimensions underpinning business valuations, thereby providing a solid financial basis for clients decision-making processes.
